Accessibility

This site is built to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA, and it is tested the way our users work: with a screen reader and with a keyboard only.

What that means here

Every page has one main heading and a logical heading order, so you can move through it by heading. There is a skip link as the first item on every page. All content sits inside landmark regions, so you can jump straight to the navigation, the main content or the footer.

Every control has a name that says what it does. Download links say which app and which version they will download, and how large the file is, so nothing is a surprise. Focus is always visible, with a thick yellow outline. Text contrast is at least 4.5 to 1 against its background, and most of it is far higher. Nothing depends on colour alone, and nothing moves or flashes on its own.

Screen reader testing

This site is tested with NVDA on Windows and TalkBack on Android, by a blind developer who uses both every day. Automated checks are run as well, but they are the starting point, not the finish line. Automated tools find roughly a third of real barriers. The rest need a person.
